Technicians assigned to the engineering division of Global X-Ray provide professional erosion/corrosion field surveys for refineries, onshore and offshore petroleum facilities.  Baseline field surveys followed by re-inspection surveys using ultrasonic and radiographic thickness measurement techniques provide data for an effective equipment and piping corrosion management program.  Isometric field sketches of piping layouts and vessels are used to identify thickness measurement locations.  Visual inspections are used to flag unusual conditions and miscellaneous problems for workers who may not be at the site.  Hardness testing and cathodic protection measurements can be made while the technician is on site.
